...The Jackson 2009 Football Defense is at it again...Being real selfish with the points scored against them... Excitement filled Red Devil hill as the region championship was on the line again between these two teams. The first half was a slow one as the teams went to the locker room in what appeared to be a defensive battle at 7-3 Jackson leading. Then Woodward came out and hit the Red Devils hard and put up 14 unanswered in the third quarter. Then late in the fourth, after Jackson had put up 14 of their own, Woodward scored with just about 3 minutes on the clock. Matt Cawthon and Neiron Ball stepped up from there. The two seniors hooked up on about a 10 yard curl and then the speed of the future Florida Gator took over as he took it in front of the Red Devil bench on his way to 6. The Red Devils held on to win a close one. Look out for the "field-goal" kicker, "SHE" will get you!
